New website on its way...

coming soon Always wanting to keep you up to date, we’re really pleased to inform you that our website will have a much needed spruce up in the next few weeks. We’ve set a target date & hope we’ll achieve it but for now we’ll be vague but you’ll notice the difference when you log on.

One of the main reasons for the overhaul is to make our site much more user friendly for our customers (and ourselves) and an advantage will be that the update will iron out a number of glitches that some of our customers have encountered. You should be able to navigate around the site more smoothly and will also have the advantage of being able to store your favourites for quick ordering each time of your core products.

We value your comments & suggestions all the time, but will very much welcome anything you have to say about the new look when it kicks in.

London Olympics 2012

olympicsWe had a super day on May 23rd when the Olympic Torch came right in front of the store here on the Bath Road in Cheltenham. It is currently en route around the country eventually arriving in London to herald the start of the London Olympics 2012 and we hope that you have as much fun as we did as it passes through your local area.

Most talk of the Olympic Games 2012 is accompanied by excitement, whether it is customers or staff alike having obtained tickets to their favourite events or taking part in the many local initiatives to spark peoples imagination towards perhaps trying new sports. From an ever practical point of view however, some of our Home Delivery customers may find themselves encountering some minor disruption at times during the course of the Olympic Games if their delivery addresses fall within affected areas.

Following discussions with our couriers, we anticipate that whilst all customers WILL receive their deliveries, for the period from 16th July to 13th September, we may not be able to guarantee next day delivery for chilled & frozen goods and as such would ask customers who fall within these areas to perhaps stock up with these delicate goods in advance to ensure smooth delivery.

As the postal areas affected are quite wide, please refer to the following link which is the most comprehensive listing we could find as to whether your postcode falls into any of the categories: and whether you think that advance ordering might be wise for your household.

We will obviously keep you personally informed if we anticipate any problems and foresee only minor, if any inconvenience to our customers but forewarned is forearmed and we look forward to helping provide you with all manner of snacks, meals & drinks to keep you happy healthy snacking infront of what promises to be some very exciting sporting games.

Lewis in the Limelight!

lewis bikingA bit of news about me.   Recently I have been quite busy with things away from work.  I have been Best Man at my best friends Wedding which, although I was very nervous, went very well indeed.  A lovely day was had by all and wearing a black suit with a waist-coat in 25° heat proved to be quite slimming.

I have been trying my best to ride my bike as much as possible but 2012 has been not so good for me injury wise.  I dislocated my shoulder for the second time in 2 years earlier this month. This was very unexpected as I was just riding along the ground at the time.  Thankfully Jo was very understanding and supportive (as usual) and kept things running smoothly whilst I was away in recovery.   I am now on the waiting list for an operation to make the offending shoulder strong again permanently.  As life is also about helping oneself, I am starting to use these new Refuel Shakes from Good Hemp after riding as they are a great way to feel energised after exercise and help the body's recovery process…

On Wednesday evening I had my first proper ride since dislocating the shoulder and although I can’t do everything I usually can it was great to be out on 2 wheels again.

Hopefully with a little help from my friends (The NHS) & all the great Organic grub I get from The Natural Grocery Store my recovery will be speedy & I will be back on form for the 2013 season.

Have a great July everyone.
Love & Light

weddingHuge thanks to all our lovely customers who were kind enough to send cards, emails and good wishes to Mark & I for our Wedding last month, it was very much appreciated. We had the most wonderful day which was just full of magic and everything we could have hoped for.

It was great to see all my friends from the Natural Grocery Store at our reception where we danced the night away (some of us more than others) whilst quenching our thirst with lashings of Fentiman's Rose Lemonade and if I'm honest, the odd glass of bubbles found its way into my hand on occasions throughout the evening.

and lastly...

Wishing you all a jolly July full of joy and japes in the sunshine (fingers crossed).
