Gibson’s elderberry liqueur comes from elder growing in their hedgerows and cultivated plants in the field which they use as wind breaks to protect the young currant bushes. Elderberries are an amazing natural source of vitamin C, and high in antioxidants. The liqueur is rich, deep and fruity, with a hint of aniseed. Elderberry liqueur works well with strong blue veined cheeses as an alternative to port. 35cl.
Alc. 16% by vol. In sauces or marinades accompanying game it adds a depth and intense flavour. Warm through gently, until steaming hot, taking care not to boil. Strain and pour into cups. Once you’ve tried this, you’ll never go back to mulled wine.
