Goulash means meat dish prepared by herdsmen and was a traditional meal enjoyed by the Magyars herdsman. Add lamb, beef, veal, pork, chicken or fish and dumplings (optional) to this paprika seasoned stew serve with mash or rice and top with a dollop of soured cream. For something lighter just add the meat eat as a soup. This was not a Hungarian herdsman’s favourite for nothing.
