Domaine Michel Magnien Bourgogne Pinot Noir – Classic Burgundian Pinot Noir, with excellent value and an affordable price tag considering its provenance. The nose gives you strong hints of red cherries and dusty plums, along with just a hint of pine needles to add freshness to the aromas. The palate is supple and silky, with flavours of rhubarb, black cherry, and anis to bring the intensity. There is just enough of the coffee, clove, and meaty notes infused by the oak barrel to make it a classy vintage, and it’s the right choice when you want something to show off to guests. As with many of the best Burgundy wines, those from Michel Magnien are produced in tiny quantities, and are highly sought after. Prices for their Grand Cru wines can be very high, but the attention to detail and winemaking skills are exactly the same for this wine as his Grand Cru, making this a great value Burgundy. 75cl.
Alc. 13% by vol. Biodynamic. Low sulphites.
