The Hoopoe is an exotic looking bird that is seen throughout Southern Europe and Northern Africa and is often seen in vineyard settings, especially organic vineyards where there is no pollution. They dislike areas of intensive agriculture. The ‘Hoopoe’ range of wines come from the western part of Sicily, where large areas of vineyards are now being farmed organically. Ripe & juicy, this is a perfect balance of the soft berried native Nero D’Avola, with a touch of gentle spice and backbone from Syrah. Good with tomato based Italian dishes and more. 75cl.
