Description
This wholegrain red rice (Riso Rosso Selvatico) originated as a cross between Black Nerone and other rice strains, and is now grown as a variety in its own right. It has a firm texture and nutty flavour. Often used for salads and ideal as an accompaniment to strong, hearty flavoured dishes. The gentle approach of the traditional stone husking retains the nutrients of the outer layer and germ.
