Description

Award winning blue corn tortilla chips with toasted amaranth; these ancient grains, revered as staples of the Aztec diet, combine with a subtly sweet and earthy flavour. The amaranth used is grown by heritage farmers in Milpa Alta which overlooks the ancient Aztec capital Tenochtitlan, now known as Mexico City. Blanco Niño cook whole corn, then steep it overnight before grinding into masa dough. They shape and bake the hot dough, then rest it overnight before lightly frying to make these tortillas. It’s this 3 day, traditional Aztec technique which makes these the most delicious, authentic tortilla chips.
